• This Monday afternoon, there was a course of lectures about garden. It was showed by Zhao Bing. He is a famous garden designer. The Confusion Temple’s garden was built by him. We have learnt lots from this meeting.First of all, he told us about the design of garden and the comprehensive from different country. The earliest style of garden in china is “囿”. And the main garden’s styles in china have four parts. First: Royal family garden. Second: Personal garden. Third: Temple garden. Fourth: Environment garden.Then, he told us lots of detail about Suzhou garden. It was called the culture of history in china. And the art characteristic of Suzhou garden is: Divide water and mountain. It was also called the scholar’s drawing of water and mountain. In this garden, there are many Taihu stone. And the aesthetic appreciation characteristics of the Taihu stone are: thin, penetrate, leak, crease. And the ways to build an artificial hill have two different way: First of them is heap up mountain. Second is the discovery of water.And the way to lead water is also very important. Because Suzhou is in South of Jiangsu. So it is easy to led the water into the garden. Suzhou's garden is famous by it's water. Mountain is also very important in a garden. Water cooperate with mountain is the best organization.Of course, in china, people usually built the garden that have one pound and three mountain. It can show the poetry culture. Although i don not know why. But i think this style can show a kind of natural.Because of the time problem, designer ZhaoBing can not told us more about the garden, we all felt sad about it. But, very lucky, i can download his PowerPoint and then i can learn more about it by my own.From this meeting, we knew more about garden's detail and knowledge. And during all the cathedra, i think the most important things we should take care is: do everything should advert their essence, not just the surface. It can help us doing well in the school and in our life.
